Refinancing my house and tax credit refund firsttime homebuyer?

If I refinance my house that I boutht in January 09', Do I have to pay back tax refund 8K? I need to take my brother off the title and loan since he co-sign for me. But I'm afraid that I aill have to return the 8k credit. Is this true?Thanks a bunch!!

Nope, your mortgage has nothing to do with the tax credit. You still own the house.
