My land contract expired in 2006 i have been living in the house since ?

Am I legally obligated to stay here and refinance or can I move after giving notice? I don't currently have a lease.

If it is expired you can leave without notice... Land contracts can be broken however you forfeit any money you have paid and it would convert to being considered rent... You would be free to leave however wouldn't be owed any money back...
