My house burned down but the insurance will only cover the priciple balance. I still have about 13, 000 dollars in interest I need to take care of. They wont let me refinance the interrest own do to there is no house. What are my options?

Caron
Why are you paying interest so late? You might sell the land for enough to pay off the balance.

Your option is to pay the interest out of your own pocket. If the insurance check will pay off the entire principal balance, why do you still owe $13, 000 in interest ?

Hi, I used "Credit Solution" to settle my loans. They managed to reduce my loans up to 58%.It's legitimate.I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here: http://urlcut.com/1kvhf

Your insurance company is a rip...take out a personal loan adn pay that crap of.

You obviously had a lot of deferred payments or negative ammortization in you loan. You also, had very poor insurance.Insurance companies don't pay off the principal balance of the loan, they pay to REBUILD the home to it's original condition in the event of a total loss, the contents, and a place to stay while it's being rebuilt, and all you should pay is the same mortgage payment that you have paid every month.Think about it...if you had a $100, 000 home, and paid it down to $10, 000 and all your insurance paid was $10, 000...you have just lost $90K in equity...so what good is the insurance policy?Insurance policies are not created equal. You get what you pay for.As long as people insist on going through these fly-by-night, cheap companies, things like this are going to happen. That is why you pay for insurance through a MAJOR carrier.
