Im looking into refinancing my house?

Asuncion
I've talked to Indy Mac and country wide, but have been approached by several under lenders. Any suggestions on how I can hone my search down?

Here are some good tips for shopping for a mortgage.1. You have to do all of the shopping on the same day. Rates change daily2. Answer all of the questions they ask you, they are asking the questions because they're determining factors in getting you financed.3. Compare the same rate. I mean, if you call 3 different lenders 3 different bankers will more than likely give you 3 different interest rates, it's not because any one lender has lower rates, it's because each loan officer looks at things a little differently. This can be very confusing. So you ask them, what are all of the fees for a specific rate. That way you're comparing apples to apples, same rate different costs.4. Make sure there are no prepayment penalties.5. Use your gut, if the loan officer makes you feel like he's not being completely truthful with you, your gut will tell you.6. You can also check rates and fees on your own at the site below.
