I refinanced my house and i cant afford the payments anymore how can i get rid of it altogether?

i don't know if you are going to want or i guess need to make money on it or if you are just trying to get out so it doesn't ruin your credit but there are lots of companies out there that are willing to do a short sale. hope everything works out. you should google to find out how you would go about doing a short sale or where you can find some one who would be interested if it sounds like something you would be interested in.

If you want to keep it file chapter13 bankruptcy and reaffirm the debt, the payment will come down considerable. You can add your car too if you have one and credit card debts also. If you do not want to keep the house just walk away and let the mortage company have it back, which will hurt your credit too.

IF you cant afford the payments then the bank may foreclose on your home. You will need to either get an escrow account that covers it but id be careful you could be paying that off for along time. Another optino would be to get a roommate or to sell your home.

sell it. if you are upside down, you need to come up with the balance.I assume you did a cash out, spent the money - and now you "can't" afford to honor the loan.You could always get another job.
