How do you get a loan refinanced when you have started building on the land and are 34 finished on the house?

We have a loan with a balloon pyt and want to refinance to pay off the loan and finish the house, how do we do that? We are 3/4's finished.

Nobody will give you value on the house until it is completed, just the land. You have to get a Certificate of occupancy to get a full loan on the house. Yale will give 65% of the value as it is though so that might help. Talk to your mortgage broker or email me for further info. A lot depends on what state you are in.

wait till the building is completed and rent it out to refinance the loan.
