How do i get my name off my exspouses mortgage? he got the house but im still on the loan?

I already signed a quick-claim deed and he said he'd refinance in his own name but he didn't! There is NO mention of the residual debt in the divorce decree.

You need to talk to whoever is doing the financing and send them a copy of the divorce papers.If that doesn't work you will have to go back in front of the judge and have him order your ex to remove it.Good luck.

sweetie you should have addressed this in DIVORCE COURT. at this point the only thing you can do is have him refi with just his name and pray that it happens. and you may can have him write you a letter stating that you are divorced and even though your name is on the loan that you have moved and will not be responsible for the monthly payments. legally the mortgage company have to accept this note but at least you sent them something informing them of the situation BUT you are responsible for that mortgage every month especially if he does not pay, it will affect your credit as well. the quick claim is all to the deed of the house stating that you have to stake in the HOUSE you didnt and cant QUICK CLAIM for a MORTGAGE sweetie. HE MUST REFI on his own credit and income, but the go news is that if there is any equity than he has to split it or at least give you a portion. GodBless
