How do i find out if there is a property deed in my name?

Davis
I was on a survivorship deed with my boyfriend and am not sure if the deed was replaced when he refinanced his house.

At your town/city hall, there is a records dept. You need the address of the property, and sometimes you need the ID #, which is usually the list #. This number can be found on the residential tax bill. If you cannot find the ID #, go to the tax assessor's office first. The assessor can look it up by the street address. If you were listed on the original property deed, you would have to quit claim your share in the house to your bf to have your name removed from the deed. So if your name is not on the deed since he refinanced, then he forged your name on a quit claim deed. Obviously, this is illegal.

Go in person with some ID to your County Clerk's office to see . If no luck there, go to state comptrollers office.
