BrittSince this is the mortgage you picked out yourself, usually not.If you are having a crisis you can sometimes arrange for interest only payments for 2-3 months. I have done that before, but they can not rewrite your contract without doing just that, writing up a new contract, ie refinancing.
KeenaTalk to whoever is supplying your mortgage. They may be able to reduce payments by extending the life of the mortgage without having to renegotiate it.
RaymondFind a roomie. Ask for a few hundred dollars & use it to pay towards your mortgage costs. Advertise on craigslist in or near your hometown.
