Can a spouse take the house in a divorce if it was refinanced under their name?

Basically, a friend of mine married a woman who became a living hell. Now he wants to divorce her but everything including the house, boat, and cars are refinanced under his name but he is listed as a co-signer. He owned the house prior to the marriage. What rights does he have as far as retaining the house after the divorce? It's the state of Florida if that makes any difference.

State doesnt matter. Yes she can retain the house but chances are extremely good that the courts will order her to buy out his half of it and get his name off the mortgage as soon as possible too. Now if children are involved the Judge would let her stay there with the kids due to the custody of the kids but would still order her to buy him out once the kids left home
