Can a spouse refinance our house without my name on it we live in florida?

This is for my mom. He is verbally abusive and threatens to take the house away from her. she had this house built about 10 yrs before he was in the picture and refinanced a yr or so go and want to try it again. He said he has talked with other agencies and is telling my mom he isnt going to put her name on it bc of her credit. I have heard that a spouse has to put the other spouse on the information. Can someone give me some information so I can give it to her? Id appreciate any info!

He's probably not on the deed or the mortgage. He shouldn't be able to refinance the house without her being involved. Depends on how the deed is recorded, and the laws of FL.
