About refinancing a house?

my fiance and I bought a house and both our names were suppose to be put on the paper work but only his name is on there he got incarcerated 2 months after we bought the house and moved in it I have been making the payments every since our house payment is going up in august but I don't know how much because we are on a adjustable mortgage rate what can I do about this so I don't loose the house I really want to keep it and feel it is more mine then his he did fix a power of attorney paper to make all his financial decisions

Do you make enough money in order to qualify for a refi? Does the house have any equity? Are you upside down in the house? How is your credit? Since he is incarcerated, his income isn't going to be helping you, as I would imagine he isn't making much or, if he has some investments and you have his POA and can use those to boost your ability to qualify, that might help.

this just sounds like a disaster in the making.do you have good credit?? any equity???

There are 2 main possibilities why you were not added to the title and the loan in the beginning: you have bad credit or you were cheated.You can put your name on title by having your fiance sign a deed in front of a Notary Public. They have one at the jail. Get a blank deed at any title company.
